Welcome to dropadot.world. By using the site, you agree to the following.

What dropadot is

Dropadot is an anonymous, location-based map. Each day, anyone can leave one short public message ("a dot"), one targeted message anchored to a continent ("a flare"), and one short message planted in the space view ("a star"). All of these — dots, flares, stars, and the replies attached to them — are deleted at midnight UTC each day.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use dropadot. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has given you permission to use the site.

What you post

You are responsible for what you post. Do not post:

• Hate speech, harassment, or threats
• Personal information about yourself or others (doxxing)
• Spam, advertising, or links
• Anything illegal under the laws of your country

We may remove any content that breaks these rules or the spirit of the site, at any time, without notice.

Location

Dropadot uses an approximate version of your location to place your dot on the map. Your browser shares your full GPS coordinates with this site, but the moment we receive them we round them to about 100 meters of precision before doing anything else with them. We never store or transmit your exact GPS coordinates. You can decline location access, in which case you cannot drop a dot or shoot a flare, but you can still browse and read everything. No accounts

Dropadot has no accounts, no logins, and no profiles. We cannot recover, edit, or restore anything you have posted.

The site is provided "as is"

We do our best to keep dropadot running, but we make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or that the site will always be available. We are not liable for anything that happens as a result of using the site.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated version.
